February 24th, 2010How Long To You Keep Your Christmas Tree?
How long do you keep your tree up after Christmas? I usually take down the decorations around the house after New Years and shortly after that the tree.

the longest I ever kept one up was until March, and it was not a fake tree, (I was pregnant with my fourth child and I was 41 years old, she was born in April, and I didn’t care if the tree stayed up all year!)
we usually take ours down, and our village, and our nativity scene, and our Santa and the Dalmations scene, and the lights and garlands and candles, etc, on Super Bowl Sunday, and I am always sad to see all the colorful lights and decorations go away during the bleakest time of the year

I’m starting to work on that today. I usually do it on the New Year weekend.

6th of January. It’s Epiphany, the day we celebrate the wise men finding Jesus in Bethlehem. That’s also where the 12 Days of Christmas come from.

We always take it down on January 2nd because it is the end of the Holiday Period. It looks so bare in the living room afterwords but it has to be done.
