My mother in law and I are Christmas fanatics and we have decoration contests every year. What scheme/theme should I use for my tree this year. Last year I used ice blue and white. She used red and the year before she used black and silver.

I’m a nanny for a one year old, and a 7 month old. I want to make some cute crafts for their parents. We tried at thanksgiving to make cards– with their hands as the turkeys…but they’re way too little to make good handprints. They want to squish and slide their fingers everywhere! Lol … so what are some good age appropriate crafts I can do?? Thanks everyone!
If it helps the one year old is pretty advanced. I’d say more around 18 months or so.

I’m thinking about getting a Christmas Tree this weekend, from a tree farm. You get to pick out a tree, cut it down, and everything. How long would a tree stay green from the moment it’s cut until it starts turning brown? Thanks, and please help!

My family has company coming over for Christmas Eve, staying until Christmas night! There will be 4 kids ages 8, 10, 11 and 12. I’m looking for something we can all do together as a craft. It has to be easy and it has to keep the kids’ attention. Doesn’t HAVE to be Christmas related, but it would be nice!

How long do you keep your tree up after Christmas? I usually take down the decorations around the house after New Years and shortly after that the tree.

what are some easy christmas crafts that don’t look cheap and use items i would have around the house?

I put my Christmas tree up 3 days ago and filled the tree stand with sugar water. It has the cuts in the trunk to help it absorb water, but the stand is still almost full. The needles are still very green and soft.I have never had this happen before, with past trees I have had to fill it every day or every other day.Should I be concerned about it drying out or is this normal? Thanks in advance!

I’ve heard that regular tap water is fine, but I’ve also heard stuff like Sprite and sugar water. What is the best liquid to give a Christmas Tree so it can live long and smell good? I’m not looking for home recipes unless they’re easy to make.

We already decorated our Christmas tree, but I need more ideas. This is her first Christmas she can actually help me do things, and I want to make the best of it. So far she enjoys Christmas time a lot.
=)
Thank you!
